  • Visa Application at a Portuguese Consulate – The application must be submitted to the Portuguese consulate or embassy in the applicant’s home country.
  • Processing and Approval – The consulate reviews the application and, upon approval, issues a visa allowing entry into Portugal for the period of four months.
  • Residence Permit Application in Portugal – Once in Portugal, the applicant must go to AIMA to obtain their residence permit.
