Dear Sirs/Madams,

Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF), the governmental entity in charge of the Golden Visa process, issued a statement today, in their social media, informing it will be implemented, from January 8th, a pilot project of appointments without prior scheduling in Coimbra, through the delivery of 30 tickets for residence permits applicants (concession, renewal and family reunification).

However, only 6 tickets – out of the 30 – will be provided to ARI/Golden Visa applicants, on Saturdays, from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

The aforementioned 6 tickets are available for all the applicants at this stage, including concessions, renewals and family reunification and are attributed per person, not per family.

In practical terms, since the tickets are provided on the same day of the attendance, and by  order of arrival, we do anticipate that applicants should present themselves in Coimbra, much earlier than the opening and, even so, should consider the high risk of not obtaining a ticket.
