To collaborate with IAS – International Atlantic Services in Porto, we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

  • Teach PFL (Portuguese as a Foreign Language), online or in-person, individually or in groups, to foreign children and adults.
  • Prepare lessons in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from the Council of Europe.
  • Create creative content to support lessons.
  • Participate in the updating of Study Programs and teaching guides.
  • Participate in meetings with educational partners.
  • Ensure the organization of extracurricular activities.
  • Perform administrative tasks inherent to the role.

Requirements:

  • Degree in language teaching, preferably a master's in PFL teaching.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in similar roles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of English, spoken and written, minimum level B1.
  • Fluency in French, spoken and written, level C2 (Mandatory Requirement).
  • Good communication skills and a passion for teaching.
  • Good command of IT tools and knowledge of online teaching tools.
  • Ability to work in a team, with strong analysis and synthesis skills.
  • Organizational capacity, strong autonomy, rigor, flexibility, responsiveness, and proven dynamism.
  • Availability for a full-time work schedule (8 hours daily), totaling 40 hours per week.

Preferred:

  • Qualifications to teach Portuguese and French.
